Has anyone bought anything from Copart?

I need a trailer for a new business and I found one on Copart's website. Has anyone actually bought a vehicle from them? If so, how was your experience? Thanks.

I never bought anything from them, but I did send them lots of totalled cars in my 8 years as an auto damage appariser for a certain insurance company. They should be pretty good for the buyers. They charged us insurance companies LOTS of fees and storage that resulted in a zero or negative salvage return to us, about 75% of the time. So in that regard they sucked. But again, not for a buyer, for the seller. They did sell a Dodge Viper, wrecked hard in the front end, for me once, and got me $22,000 for a car that was worth $55,000 and had $40,000 worth of damage.

I hadn't even heard of Copart until my wife rolled our tow vehicle last winter. The insurance company sent it there for the appraisal and salvage auction. I followed our tow vehicle's auction on their website. It was pretty wrecked and it didn't get any bids. The place was buzzing with activity like a bees nest when I went there to get some things out of the truck. Talk about a hidden industry.

I worked for them for approx. 7 years, and built out, relocated and started up at least 50 of their sites - IT wise, good company, some nice deals for buyers.

The whole broker thing seems kind of annoying but I have a coworker that has bought from them and has been happy.

Yes, I have bought several cars from them. I have no complaints. I did it from Canada and had them shipped. I have no complaints. Everything was as expected.
