has anyone put smart tabs on

a 1988 17' capri with an 85hp engine.

I ask because I want to get a set but when I look at my transom and hull and I can't vision them working with the little amount of room that I have to work with. Therefore, if anyone has done this install can you tell me about it or send me a pic?

I put a set on a late 80's 19' capri. They worked like magic- better holeshot, better planing, better handling. They even converted salt water to hydrogen.

I highly recommend them.

Post a picture of the transom and you will get all kinds of advice..

I put them on my 2001 xpress 18.5 foot center console and I love them.

Both starboard and Port for your viewing pleasure.

*Note the bend in the transon goes back about 2-3 inches*
