You don't necessarily need to do all cylinders, if only one needs it. If you do get machine work done, only take it to a marine OB machine shop, not an automotive one, and let them tell you what oversize to use and which brand/model piston(s). Machine the head only to flatten, the block rarely needs it and get a shop manual (OEM) if you're going to do the assembly work.

Dhadley on this board can recommend a shop (I think Marfab - he can tell you who to talk to).

Great, I have dealt with a machine shop here in Jupiter a couple times (automotive). Can you send me a email with a # and a address.

I'm going to try to measure the scratch with a wire gage and will bore all the cylinders to that size, I know it's around .020" already tried with wax just not accurate enough. I would like to be able to give the shop the pistons before he bores it so he can fit them to the cylinders.

I would not buy those pistons before boring as you are only looking at one problem the bore may have. It may be out of round or tapered. Only after boring will you know where you stand.
