Have I bent my prop shaft?

I submitted an earlier post about damaging my skeg and prop after it hit a rock. I replaced the prop and I'm not going to worry about the skeg right now. However, I think my prop shaft is bent. While replacing the prop I spun the prop with my hand and noticed that it seems to wobble just a little bit. Should I worry about it? I will keep an eye on the oil lube to make sure there is no water in and make sure it's not leaking oil.

wribbs, make sure you are looking at the center of the prop shaft when you spin the prop ,as the barrel of the prop will appear to wobble and the propshaft can be straight.

If you can "See" it wobble, It's Bent too much to run.... It'll viberate,+ Destroy Itself....
It'll be Cheaper to fix it Now...

Re: Have I bent my prop shaft?

When I say it wobbles I am looking at the prop housing. I haven't looked at the shaft itself. I guess I would be able to tell if it were not turning true.

Thanks for the replies so far!!!!

wribbs
