Check if the flywheel key is shared.
Set the throttle at idle (lowest possible throttle).
Pull top plug and use a screwdriver in top hole and turn the flywheel soo the piston reach it`s top position.

At this point the curved line at the distributer pully should line up with the flywheel rim.
If not the key is shared or the distributer is not right adjusted.

After the flywheel, check the fuel delivery.
Water in the fuel?

Try spraying a bit of premix gas/oil in the carb.
Maybe a touch of starting fluid? Just a touch.

Would want to do a compression test. If compression checks out, borrow a portable tank and line with known good fuel. To check for water or other contaminants in your tank, siphon some up from the bottom (or use the bulb), transferring to a glass jar. Water will be at the bottom, as fuel floats on top. Large permanent tanks are more susceptible.

If you are in the US, many auto parts stores have free loaner tools including compression test tools. Basically you buy it and return for a full refund.

If I remember, the box has instructions. But you remove all the spark plugs, install the gauge with whatever adapter fits the plug hole, leave the key off and jump the solenoid to turn the motor over until the gauge stops going up. Repeat for each cylinder.

Get a gapping spark tester and check for good spark on each plug, you should get a hot blue spark, at least a 1/4 inch long from every wire. Leave the other wires on while you check spark, but be prepared for the engine to start. Then do the compression test, you should have 100+ psi and they should all fall within a 10% range. Next spray a little mixed fuel in the throttle body, if it starts look to the fuel pump or a plugged carb.

Compression+ fuel+ spark will = a running engine.

The compression on these Chryslers is more like 145-150#
BUT!!! depending on the gauge, the results you get might be lower??
Cheap tools get cheap results.
The results your looking for is that all cyl. are within 5-10# of each other.

Two observations -- turning over way too slowly for starting (battery, connections, starter....). Start by cleaning connections with sandpaper until bright -- battery cables first.

You appear to be using an inline spark tester. If so, get an open air adjustable tester for $10 or so at an auto parts store. Test with both plugs removed to get highest rpm, and set the gap for about 7/16".

^^^^^^ That!!
And to add to what oldboat1 said about getting the open air spark tester. (Open air spark test will tell the true story as stated..)

Not sure if it's the vid playing tricks on me, but I didn't see consistent spark indicated in that inline tester either..
What I did see were orange-ish flashes now and then..
(Just my eyes?? :noidea:)

What was the compression?

You should never "adjust" anything until you know for sure it needs it????

From the video, turning too slow.
Possible fix: clean starter, new cables, bearings in the drive corroded, weak battery(it didn't seem weak), timing WAY off?
