Have 93 Suz and approx. 93 Johnson both 30hp, really know nothing about either, which would be better 1 to keep? I like the look of Suz but think the Johnson (primer paint,no decals,LOW hours, spare lower unit) has a better chance of parts being around if I break down......thanks for any reply....Doug

Keep the Suzuki. With the demise of OMC all loyalty to the consumer for parts availability went out the window.

Well, I disagree with Elvin.

I would expect the availability of parts and service for the Johnny to far exceed the Suzi.

I have heard nothing about the lack of customer loyalty from Bombardier that he claims. I really doubt that it has a basis.

I would keep the Johnny.

I totally agree with JB. I have owned a Suzuki (DT-140) and the dealer/parts support was one of the primary reasons I sold it. I live in the fifth largest city in the US (Phoenix) and there is no Zuki dealer here. All the other major brands are supported. I also own a Honda and I'm not thrilled about the support for that either.

Bombardier plans to fully support the John/Rude brands for a long time to come. I can easily find parts, locally, (OMC genuine) for all my old OMC's including a 1958-7.5 hp.
