Re: have we been hung out to dry by mercruiser?
Rodbolt:
Those discs ror the MIDAS electronic parts catalogs also have the service bulletins in them, and I have the newest version on this computer. Bulletin 05-12 is not on it. Neither is 10 or 11, but 13 is on it...... I can't explain what or why they do things, but they have 3 numbers missing, and now in Feb of 06 we get bulletin 2005-12 and it's also not on MercNet yet.
I did notice there is a correction section on the first page of the bulletin that says basically they were previously using the "Change the Y pipe method". Perhaps this is just a revision, and you were just seeing the "Old" version.

Tashasdaddy:
You have the 807130A4 Y pipe. Used for the 1 piece manifolds and risers. If you use the part numbers I gave you it will work. As long as your aftermarket manifolds are shaped the same as the Merc 99746A17 and the risers are shaped like the Merc 807988A2, then it should work.

That's the way it goes when you try to do a job with aftermarket parts and don't do all the step required, you know, like NOT changing the Y pipe!!damn i'm frustrated,
