First, I would like to take a moment to thank all the people who helped me put my Johnson back to life, but things keep coming apart. 
I have a 100HP 1987 Johnson. This time when I put it in forward gear and accelerate, the engine goes to neutral. This happens if I push it hard, from the hole or at any speed. I first noticed it when going at wot. The engine was like loosing the grip on water but only for miliseconds. I stoped to see if I had something on the prop tangled. Seeing nothing I accelerated from the hole and the engine went to neutral. I had to push the lever forward again for the engine to get the gear. Do you think its only a matter of adjusting the shift cable? or is it worst? Please help
