HB 385ci problem

I fiqured I would post some pictures of what I was looking at today, ran this HB quite a bit this year & it ran flawlessly. Today my wife & I went fishing and these pictures below is all I was getting. The GPS, Temp, Volts, & Speed all worked great. If anyone has an idea of what could be wrong and or is there an adjustment that is messed up. I inspected the Transducer & it looks perfect, also all the pins in detachable mount are perfect.
I'm lost and hoping someone can identfy the problem with these screen pic's.

The display looks like you have a pile of weeds on the transducer. Given thats not what you found, try to swap head units with a friend with a HB. There will be many a model that you can do this swap on. Post back on specific model(s), and I will try to determine if you can. Otherwise, contact HB tech service, and get advice, and/or return authorization for any warrantee work.

I went a head and purchased a new Ducer @ Basspro yesterday, he scared me, he said they sell a whole bunch of these Ducers every year. The install went well but I had to remove the inside carpeted panels that took a little while, and now the screen is totally different, it doesn't show those consistent heart beat spikes like the pic's above. I wish there was a test you could try at home instead having to put it in the water, but I should be in the water today or tomorrow for a test.

I should have also said to reset you unit to defaults. This would eliminate the possibility that something got adjusted way out of whack. If your testing goes well, follow up with a call to HB. Most likely they will ask to send in the old ducer, and you will get a new spare.

I did do the factory default setting a couple time just for that reason,,no change. I contacted HB earlier today & wating for their response back, I explained everything thing just like I did on here, but no place to post picture so I told them that the screeen is displaying just like a ELECTROCORTICOGRAM with no bottom reading.

I have a 385ci that I put in this spring. I've had the exact same problem twice and each time a new transducer fixed it. (Replaced under warranty by HB... Except having to re-run the wires and stuff myself)

I'm currently trying their shoot thru the hull transducer to see if it will live longer than 3 trips out on the water...

Thx John, I'll be in the water tomorrow for the test, I feel it will work because the screen changed completly from the pic's above after I put the new Ducer on. I sent off a note to HB a few minutes ago because my Son bought this for me last Xmas, still under warranty ,,,we'll see what happens.

Thx for all your responses, it was the Ducer, it came back to life & ran perfect yesterday. Now if my Son can find the Receipt fo my HB 385 i'll try recover a ne Ducer(spare).
