Re: He only takes the best...

Z, I feel for you. Its the part of life that is hard to understand. I had a dear fishing buddy that was murdered in his own home. He only had one son and now he is in an induced coma awaiting a new heart.

For the next two years after my friends death, I kept his fishing pole in the rod rack. Then I started taking his son with me and other friends fishing. He asked if he could have his dads pole. I was a bit broken hearted on giving it up,,,,,,but I felt he is more entitled to it than me. Going fishing without his dad was hard to get back to the enjoyment of it. Taking his son helped ease the pain and made our fishing trips enjoyable.

Now with his son laying in a hospital bed in Cleveland, I can only hope and pray that he can continue with life and fishing again.

Trust worthy friends are hard to find and loosing them is hard to cope with.
