Does anyone know how to convert inch-pounds of torque to foot-pounds. If not, I may have to buy a new torque wrench to tighten head bolts on my 4hp engine. Any information appreciated.

Elrw2
According to my convertion program, 1 in lbs is equal to .0833 ft lbs.
or.... 12 in lbs is equal to 1 ft lb There are 12 inches to a foot. Divide the inch lbs by 12 to get ft lbs, or multiply the ft lbs to get inch lbs. Might be difficult to dial in in lbs on a ft lb torque wrench though.

The information that came with my torque wrench has the following formula, Multiply IN-LBS by .0834 to Obtain FT-LBS. Multiply FT-LBS by 12 to Obtain IN-LBS.
