head fixed now new problem popped up !

was running good then thermastate went out and found head gasket was also bad ! now the problem is the year ?
the model # says it a 1985 but when i ordered the head gasket the bolt holes dont line up half a hole off ?
Is there anyway i can figure out what year is the head !
the head on a 1985 is one piece and on this one it is two piece?
i figure they blew it up and changed the head to a newer one i would really like to have this running for this weekend!
so any advice would really be great ,you guys really helped me out so far !

anybody ,how to tell what year head do i have ?
is there anyway to tell please help only have one day to get it running again !

I went and looked at the pictures in the repair manuel and guessed got it right the head is of of a 1988 force mine is 1985 !
so back running with 130 compression on both cylinders !
Chalk it up to luck i guess !

I was going to say take the head with you and match it up but you got it figured

another problem after starting up ? it now has a pop that looks like it coming from behind fuel pump! diaphram is new ,what could cause this now ?
seems like it one after the other week !
it almost sounds like a car that the timing is retarted but already checked that !1985 force model 507x5a ! any suggestions ?
