Head hunter!!!

So it looks like its time for a rebuild on the merc 260's (the wife saw the price on the new ones and freaked!!),
So I think I will track down some vortec heads, and intakes.
Does anyone have any preferances IE-post 1996 heads, circle track style intake???

Here's everything you need to klnow about vortec heads http://www.customclassictrucks.com/...c_cylinder_heads_small_block_chevy/index.html . Grab some off an old motor or I myself would look on craigslist I see them all the time.

Ayuh,... Your choices are the 906 castings or the 669 castings...

Some of the 906s have heavier exhaust valve seats,...
The Hod Rodders debate whether it's of any consequence or not....
I see it as a Plus in trucks or boats myself,.. Cools the valve Better...

The Edlebrock Performer is hard to beat manifold, unless you're playing in Saltwater...
