head resurfacing

took a set of 120/140 heads in to be resurfaced and they took them down 10 thousands, not sure if thats ok or not. if its alrite how much is that going to raise compression ratio? and does someone make thicker head gaskets to compensate for the resurfacing. thanx

.010 is OK. It should not change performance.<br /><br />Good kuck!

DH- thanx<br />one question for you though i have a set of heads with the cast part # ground down and #339310 stamped in above. the combustion chambers are machined, was this a common thing to do for the low compression heads? they have a #154 cast below top plug. just wondering thanx.
