head torquing sequence and spec for 50 force

I fly cut my head flat ( it was out about 6 thou) and now to reinstall I need to know the head bolt torque spec, and is there a specific pattern?<br /><br />thanks for the helpful info and links thius far its been tremendously helpful!

Hey Jeep what year is that force?<br />1984-1989B ....... 270 inch Lbs<br />1989C-1996 ........225 in.-lbs<br /><br />Sequence Should be 10 bolts. 2 in center first then two above center, two below center, then the two top followed by two bottom. Force recommends putting oil on threads of bolts before installing. Do not crank all the way to max torque on each bolt but tighten each one in steps. I hope this helps.

hey thanks dcsjr!<br /><br />I finally foun a manual locally also, its a "seloc" and hard as heck to extract information from.<br /><br />I was able to verify those numbers/pattern you gave.<br /><br />and I wasnt sure on the oiled threads, but now thanks to you I know!<br /><br /><br />greatly appreciated
