when i bought my first boat it was a cheap big sailboat that had leaks all over and i was tired of going really slow so i bought a large outboard put it on the transom and headed for the main canal then to open lake but anyways the motor pushed our 20'sailboat along pretty quick at full trottle i went to easy off trottle and the dam thing was stuck at full tilt and there was large million dollar boats all over the place and i hit the gear shift so hard to put it into neutral and it went into reverse at full trottle the force of the motor ripped the back of the boat off and took the dam motor with it to the bottom there was tons of people watching really bad first experence needless to say no more sailboats

ouch on both! A couple months ago I put a rubber
pad on both sides of my trolling motor bracket
to keep from scratching up the new paint! Ha!
Darn thing came off on a tight turn and there I
was holding a WOT 7 1/2 HP by the handle! :)
