Heading to Pompano beach Fla for two weeks

Vacation time is here!!! Thank God!! 2 weeks in Pompano as we have done in the past.We usually do plenty of relaxing and swimming.A few snorkling trips.A time or two out on a local charter boat to fish with the locals.Dine and happy hour on the intracoastal and some waverunner fun.We have pretty much done the same routine for the last few years.Besides a trip down to the Keys(which is how we may spend the first several days)Anyone have anything that they have done there that we may be missing out on????We do plenty of what we like but Im sure we are missing out on something that you guys can fill me in on.

Hey Charlie when you,re on you way back,will most likely pass me and the wife going the opposite direction. Will not be in Pompano Beach but the same zip code Corral Springs.

Went down there in June of 2004 and seen my sister. While there went drift fishing on the Fish City Pride located at 2705N Riverside Dr. That was my first time on a boat in the ocean. What a great time and the crew was excellent. The only thing I had to do was fish. They rigged the poles,bait and all. If you reeled your line in to check it they were right there to see you were baited up and ready. Only caught a couple fish but seen alot of others caught. Also got to go to one of the marina's to help her boyfriend load supplies on a yaht that belonged to one of his clients he was getting ready to take to the Bahamas for a 10 day trip. Must be nice to have a job that you drive other peoples million plus dollar boats and all the fishing you can stand. But I bet it could also be nerve racking be at the controls of something like that. Have a safe and fun trip. I can't wait to go back down again.

TD,I will see if I can leave you some good weather when we are done with Fla. but I have to warn you,my wife and I are selfish when it comes good weather We will be down Feb 8 -22.Fire831 sounds like your charter was a little better than the one we go on.But its just great being out there.Thanks for the well wish!! Forgot to mention Charlie, I think it was like $30.00 per person for four hours plus I tipped the mate of course for a fine job. I fished the 7pm to 11pm trip.Beautiful view of the lit up shorline.

have a great time charlie, i love key west, probably my favorite vacation spot, havnt been there in 2 years now, need to go back. mallory square for the sunset then irish kevins for a few drinks and some comedy, wish i was going this year again/

I think I will try Key West next year.We are only going down as far as Key Largo this time.Im not a big fan of Florida driving.Went from Lauderdale to Miami last year and I thought I was on the BQE or the Cross Bronx .(both are roads NYers and NJers try to avoid like the plague).
