Alot of people are going out to the gravel pits this weekend, just seeing if anyone on here is going. if you live near the james you should come, always a good time and not a lot of annoying drunks.

How far up the James is the gravel pits. I'm at the very end of it, that is if we're talking about the same James

Thanks, I googled it and found the abandoned gravel pit. My boat is not ready for the water just yet, but I would like to boat the James when it is. I have been way way up the James in Blacksburg and Scottsville, which are tubing places, but not down here in the deep water yet.
