Hi<br /><br />for a 1988 VRO evinrude 120hp <br />does anybody know<br />1- the "strength" (or torque in english ??) I have to apply to the bolts<br />2- the order to do that..<br />thx in advance<br />jmm

20 foot lbs. ,and work from the center out.

there should be numbers by each hole on the heads. torque in that sequence and in stages. <br />20 to 22 ft. lbs or<br />(24 to 27 Nm)

no # beside the bolt holes on that engine , just work from the center out and you will be fine.

i have a 1988 120/140 and a 1993 120 spare powerhead and a 120 spare empty block with heads. all three have different part#s for the heads and all three have #s next to each hole designating torque sequence.
