Height of jet foot compared to boat

I’ve seen tons of info about wanting the jet foot to be lined up just higher than the bottom of the jon boat but mine is just lower. I see it has some performance downsides but will it effect how shallow of water I can go in while on plane and trimmed up a little? I really don’t want to raise it up and would rather just leave it since it’s my starter boat to get into jet boating and I don’t care if I loose a little power but I do care if I’m going to damage the jet by going into shallow water.
Thanks! D11ACF51-66FB-46C6-826F-80FA04EF6D3A.jpeg

It’s showing the top of the foot is about a 1/4 inch below the bottom of the boat. I’ll post a better photo today

Thats a good all purpose setting. Unless the water you go into is really skinny I would leave it be.

Ideally your ride plate would be level and jet nozzle just above…I’d imagine.
