I have a quick question. How do I go about removing the throttle/shifter from the side panel? I know on my Evinrude, there is a allen screw on the back side that you remove so you can get the handle off. I do not see that here. I already have the side panel removed, just wondering how to get the shifter off so I can replace the side panel. Thanks, Steven

Try placing the throttle/shift lever in the full forward position and there should be a hole in the bottom you will access the allen screw from. Loosen this screw and the lever will come off. Then I believe you will remove the square cover and there should be 4 screws behind that holding the front side to the control unit on the back of the panel. Take those out and the two halves will seporate from the side panel.

Carefully pull the center button out and there is a nut behind it. Also the escushen plate will come apart horizontally exposing screws

Jason,

Thanks for the info. That is exactly how it came apart. Thanks, Steven
