I finally upgraded from my trusty 10' aluminum to this boat...

It's a 1991 Glastron G1700 (or something like that).

Love it, been out for a couple spins and it rides great.

Question tho, I'm in the process of fixing the little things that were neglected. The cleats on the boat basically disintegrated, i've been able to get the stern port/starboard cleats off without a problem. However, the bow of the boat is presenting a problem. It's a bowrider and I cannot figure out how to get up into the bow to A)hold the rear of the bolt holding the cleat and B) wire up a new bow light (the old one was busted up and the ground wire is not available to grab.

Does anyone know how to get access to this part of the boat? The seats up front lift out, but the space to reach into the tip of the bow is only about an inch wide and no human hand could get up there. Are there manuals for boats?

Thanks! and I look forward to using these forums!

Michael
