sorry
was not on vacation.
a week or so ago I had an iboats moderator personally attack me on DC and asked why I am still in the US.
I was not coming back but I have recieved some emails and I came back for a look of the yamaha/suzuki forums.
first off I will state most the info replied to is erroneous in the past week. give me a day or so to finnish my personal conflict over to ever post again on iboats or find another forum.
some of you have simple issues some will require replies that need to come from a QUALIFIED tech.
had it not been for some emails I would not have checked.
yall keep me off DC and I will see.
take care and dont do much for a bit.

Re: hello

Welcome back, rodbolt. Not sure what DC is or what you might decide to do, but I sure missed your expert advices.

Re: hello

BTW, let me know where your shop is in NC. I might bring my boat to your shop. It is tough to find a good mechanic.

Re: hello

Say, rodbolt.

Really missed you around here. All of us get flamed once in a while on DC, and moderators are only human beings, after all. In the heat of a political debate (argument) we, too, sometimes lose our cool.

Really sorry someone stepped on your toes, but I don't think I have seen anything I would call a personal attack or I would have zapped it in a nanosecond. Not because you are something special around here (though you are), but because you are a member and personal attacks are verboten.

Please reconsider and stay with us.

Re: hello

Tom, you are a very special part of this site and would really be missed if not around.
I have been amazed at your knowledge and willingness to share with the rest of us.
Unfortunately, there have been many sites where people who have been great contributors to the site have been flamed and gave up in disgust. Please don't let this be one of them.
I may have been the one who gave the misinformation that you were still on vacation and apologise for that.
I did not realise you had been flamed or would have jumped in to defend you.
Your technical as well as hands on experience and willingness to share was what drew me and many others to this site. Your leaving would be a GREAT LOSS.
If there is something I could say or do to help change your mind, just let me know.

Oh NO! What will I do? All my buddies will find out that I don’t know what I am doing! It has been said that a properly trained monkey can change parts (Me) the real trick is diagnosis (Pros like you).

I really hope that you stick around.
