hello i just purchased a 1987 bayliner with 85 hp force. i have ordered the manual for the motor so we can do the regular maintence ourselves. we took it out tonight and it ran real well. when we trailered it home the motor was tilted up when we got home i noticed maybe table spoon of gas in the back. is this normal because motor was tilted up. any other ideas i have read about stuck floats. thank you for any comments

Re: hello

It's normal for gas to drip out of the carburetors when the motor is tilted up.

hello. I am basically new myself, I have an '85 Bayliner w/ 85hp Force. What condition is yours in? So far this season I have only gone out on little runs to work a few bug's out, but I'm good to go now. I just ordered a towable to drag my 14 year old son around the lake. Can't wait for the weekend. Have you thought about doing the "add a tell-tail" to your motor? It's one of the "stickys" at the top of this section. I did & am happy to have the piece of mind that everything is working/cooling the way it should. It's quite simple to do, only took about 10 min.'s to do. Post up a picture of your floater.
