I am overhauling a 1990 120hp Force. I have it down to the bare block and all the bolts out but cannot get it to separate to expose the crank. It is like there is a hidden bolt I can't find. I have the four bolts out of the intake and all up and down both sides, also the two line up pins.
Does anybody have an idea what might still be holding it together? I don't want to use to much force on it.

I'm not sure. But you didn't mention the shifter bolt, fuel line, throttle and shift cables.
Like you tho, I think it's a hidden one. But I don't recall a hidden one, except under the head, one base mount bolt that was next to impossable to see.

Billum,

I have a 1995, 120hp. There were I believe four allen head bolts that went thru the crankcase cover where the carb intake manifolds mounts and a couple of hex head bolts on the backside. Also according to the manual, it recommends applying loctite to the outer bearings races when rebuilding. This may be causing you some problems. I did not put a lot of loctite on them though when it was put back together.
Hope this helps.

Mr Bo thanks. I did pull the four hex bolts. It is tight at the bottom, it has separated a little at the top, but the bottom won't release.

Does anyone know where I can get an overhaul manual for this engine?
