help 60 hp merc

[brad needs help]

i need to know what my 94 60hp merc should rev at WOT it only revs 2500 RPM and i know it should do more than that, or if anyone can tell me why it is only reving that much I really want to get this problem fixed. Thank you all so much for your help.

Should be aroud 5500 rpm at WOT. <br /><br />As for the cause, best advice i can give is: check the basics first (compression, spark, fuel). Help a lot to eliminate possible causes.<br /><br />And if you want peoples here to be able to help you, give them a lot of details (tests results?, does it idle rough?, storage time?, saltwater use?, prop used?, etc.).<br /><br />And,as someone will propably tell you soon: get a manual
