HELP '86 Evinrude 40hp won't idle or run full thottle (pic)

1986 Evunrude 40 hp. Put in new water pump, thermostat. spark plugs, rebuilt carbs, ran good for 5 minutes now I have oil leaking in odd places. At full thottle it runs like it's at half thottle with a low sounds thump or muffled knock. Won't stay idling. Looks like burnt oil coming from under the anode onto the engine saver (pic) and down the engine swivel bracket.

I've 'bout had it with this thing.

Just started it on ears and it would idle as long as I kept flipping the electric choke.

You say it ran fine for a short time then the problem,leads me to think something in the fuel line made its way to the carbs,Did you blow the fuel lines out? Replace them with alcohol resistant lines.If not you should clean the carbs again if you used new kits just use the same gaskets if they arent buggered up,Make sure the whole fuel lines are clean,BUT the best to do is replace them if they are older rubber.Ethanol dissolves the old rubber and particals move on to the carbs.
Yes the oil I cant see in the pic is mostlikly excess unburnt fuel draining.
