HELP 89 60 horse johnson

hello i have a 89 60 horse johnson which would not stay running at idle the dealer replaced the power pack and now it runs fine at idle but when at full throttle it will sometimes just lose all power and then the power comes right back . it is like you turned the motor off for a split second and the back on it does not happen all the time at least a dozen times in a half hour. could the new power pack be bad ? thanks

That's going to be a tough one, it doesn't act up long enough to troubleshoot.
Check all wire connections, including grounds, make sure the connections are clean and tight.

would getting the motor wet cause this? i washed it but i dried with compressed air

Possible but highly unlikely. Go through the secret file at thge top of this forum and do all of the checks. Clean grounds on every connection are a big help.
