HI I have an Evinrude 9.5HP sportwin. model# 99225 serial no. E05375. I bought it 5 years ago and it worked great then and was compeletly rebuilt an squeeky clean then. I used it for a week on a fishing trip then and haven't touched it since. I'd like to use it again this summer. i replaced the lower unit oil and added some fresh fuel to see if it would start. it started right away, but was smoking terribly and was idling very fast. I couldn't get it to "calm down"I was afraid I would hurt something, and I don't know what I'm doing, and the only means I had for running it was emersed in a trash can full of water. anyhelp on what I should do to this thing and what year is or anything would help. Do I need to lubricate other stff? I don't know. thanks
