!!help!! 93 force outboard

I have a 93 force outboard..120 HP.. never had a problem with it, until this weekend. Was running about 35 mph and all of the sudden it went out of gear and will not go back in gear forward or reverse. Cable is fine. Motor runs good will throttle up in gear just wont turn prop. But with motor off and attempt to put in gear the prop will lock in place...please help was selling it next weekend..what luck huh?

This seems unusual to me.

Sounds almost like the shift pivot screw fell out or sheared off.

Time to drop the lower unit.

See if all works with the unit off the motor.

If the problem is in the gearcase, open it up and start tearing it down.

well unfortunately i only know enough to keep motor running smooth and small repairs. When it comes to the lower unit im not that familiar with it. Guess i need to put it in shop. If anyone else has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. Dont have the money for expensive repair right now hopefully can fix it myself if possible.

This is a double post,I answered it twice anyway.Sounds like the hub on the prop has spun.
Even though you spun it and it won't turn with the motor,you can't turn it by hand.That motor puts out a lot of torque it has 120hp your hand has less than 1/10th of a horse.J
