Hey there all..new to this forum. Great place, lots of info. I am thinking about buying this boat, and would appreciate any and all input...Figure I can get it for around $3000.00. I am going to look at the boat tomorrow, but want to get as much info and advice as I can. My biggest fear is that the condition from the pics (attached) looks fair. Any comments appreciated.

BTW it's an I/O and he says its a 4 cyl, but the pic looks more like a straight six, but that would not be my area of expertise.

I see only 4 plug wires so I would say 4 cylinder.
IMO, a bit under powered for a 20 foot boat.

Looks like it is a 470 motor. Big headache if not maintained as most will tell you. Big problems will be overheating as it looks like a 3" heat exchanger, recommend going with a 4". Also it looks as though it as the original charging system. Needs to be replaced with an aftermarket alternator. Other than that it looks alot better than the one that I bought for $1000

Did I miss where it listed the engine/outdrive manufacturer? I would walk away if it is OMC, parts are getting harder to find.
