HELP! Correct spark plug and gap for 1991 Evinrude 9.9

I am looking for the correct spark plugs and gap for my 1991 Evinrude 9.9 Yachttwin. The serial number is G02988412.<br /><br />Thanks for your help.

QL77JC4 or QL82C Champions gapped at .030".

The correct spark plug is a Champion QL77JC4 or optinally the QL82C. Both are gapped at .030". Since you're Yachttwin is probably on your sailboat, you'll want the cooler QL77JC4.<br /><br />Good luck!<br /><br />EDIT: Good to see ob and I agree.

Thanks for the help! How about some help with a throttle cable problem I am having. The throttle cable enters the outboard at an angle and keeps popping out of the plastic fitting that holds it in place. You have to put it in at an angle to get it to fit onto the throttle arm. Is it something I am doing wrong or is it the aftermarket cable?
