I am looking for a hinge bolt for the lid on the swim ladder. Some guys call them barrell bolts. I don't think that is the proper name. Sex Bolt might be closer.
Phillips head bolt with male threads. The other end is phillips head with Female thread. Chrome.
Thanks

look in the bins at your local hardware store (HomeDepot, Lowes, etc..)
there is usually one for specialty bolts...this male/female bolt combo is used in a lot of playground equipment and swing sets

Thanks you guys. I have tried the hardware store, more than one, I can find the bolts, but not exactly the same. I think that I will try the boat manufacture, the closest dealer is 300 mi away. I just want them all to match. I might have to change all of them

I have always heard them called sex bolts as well. When installing a closer on a steel door you use them(at least I do) but I have seen them in steel and aluminum and in various sizes. Have you tried a dedicated fastener company or nut and bolt supply? That would be your best bet or have a look at a Grainger or Mcmaster Carr catalog they would probably both carry them as well.

You can find bolts like that on Ebay by typing Sex bolt into the search field. (and I'm suprised that something else didn't come up as well - LOL )
