help finding discontinued hose part # 857038

Hello all, I have 1992 Volvo Penta 430B and I need a new intake hose. I ordered it from the Volvo store but I got an email saying the part has been discontinued. I've searched the internet and cannot find a replacement.

The first link was out of stock, the second link payment page did not work but I did place an order through the third link so we'll see what happens.

Let me google that for you

Google tip of the day; When looking for a part with the manufacturer's part number, enter the name of the manufacturer first, then the part number. It cuts out a whole lot of other fluff that might pop up if you just enter in the numbers.

Struck out again- another email stating my ordered cannot be processed as the part is discontinued.

It may have been discontinued by Volvo, it is a 20 year old part. After 94, different type pump was used, so that hose was never used again. You will probably be asking a LOT of places till you find a dealer that still has one in stock. You might also check with your local dealer, the Volvo dealer program used to list dealers that carried a lot of the older stock.
