Help for my ol 1962

My 1962 10 HP starts idols nice for a while then starts to sputter, then stalls almost like its sucking air. Fuel bowl is full.

After you start it, and it starts to sputter, pump the primer bulb a couple of times. If the motor straightens out, it's probably a fuel pump issue or a bad fuel line connection.

Thanks old catamount, I tried what you suggested it did run longer but still stalled. If fuel pump is bad would glass bowl still stay full? Do I replace fuel pump or do I rebuild this?

Ill assume your tank vent is both open AND clear? Try running without the cap on, does this help?

Other possible issues.

Needle/seat stuck. Faulty float. Obstruction.

Thanks for the quick replys ,there was a hose clamp missing on the fuel pump on the inlit side.
