Hello,

Can anyone suggest where to look for a fuel leak on a 1990 Force 120 Bayliner Capri (infamous L-Drive). I have checked the obvious such as fuel lines, pump and around the carbs. The leak is somewhere on the bottom and only happens when its running and I cant determine where its coming from! Its a good leak at a tablespoon in about two minutes!

Just to note, I had a starting problem where I was flushing and the engine went full throttle for about 2 seconds before I killed the ignition. Then I could not restart. The cranking motor couldnt turn the flywheel like it was frozen. I followed some suggestions and removed the plugs, cranked a few turns, put them back in and then she started right up with a lot of smoke. Then I noticed the fuel leak. I hope its not related =(

btw. Anyone know if this engine has a primer bulb? The seloc manual seems to think so?

I have a similar fuel leak on a 1992 L-Drive. The drip seems to be coming out of the two rear bolts on the spacer plate just behind the crankshaft on the bottom of the powerhead. Anyone know what the problem could be?
