Tech......., <br />Perhaps you have a virus/spyware/whatever thing going on. Go to lavasoft.com, follow the link to adaware se and try it. I'm staying out of whatever dynamics are in play with some of the threads I've seen.

JB, I don't know why - but I 'got' his sense of humor from the getgo. I agree that Ray is not trying to be hostile, but I can see how it comes across that way. This is just a general observation, not troll intended.<br /><br />Ray, I have had some major computer glicthes lately, try these..............<br /><br />Spybot<br />Adaware<br />a squared<br />Spyware doctor<br /><br />They are all free and between them, they fixed my problems.<br /><br />I also use systemworks version 2001 but I wouldn't reccomend a later version, I've heard that it is resource hungry.<br /><br />Aldo

Thank you for your reply.<br />I use Norton and am paid up until 10/15/05. Is the Lavasoft site another form of the same thing?<br />These programs are all hope and promise until they get your money and then they run and hide.<br />Thanks again.

Hi Ray, Aldo could be right, Spybot and adaware does a good job at getting rid of the unwanted intruders.

Ray, the ones that I listed are all FREE personal editions and they all allow FREE updates. Don't activate 'Auto Update' on any of them, and they won't bug you to subscribe.<br /><br />What one misses, the other finds. Well in my case anyway.<br /><br />Once you finally have everthing o/k, activate "teatimer' in Spybot - that'll stop any new unauthorised registry changes.<br /><br />Aldo

The basic Adaware se is free as are the definitions updates. I have had much greater sucess w/adadware than norton,mcafee,systemsuite,spyware killer, etc. The adaware finds tons that the others don't see.

As my friends from iboats who called me know, I now answer my phone - " 'FREE; is a four letter word".<br />Pardon an off topic question, but I would appreciate knowing what you mean by "dynamics". I know it is a kind of catch phrase like, 'issue' and 'appropriate' but my nearest and dearest friend who is a retired Chief of Police and now works in Standards and Practices for the State of CA uses that word frequently. thecompany at inbox.net If you don't mind.
