Help!! I am wondering about a tritoon!!!

I found a San pan tritoon boat for sale and think they look pretty neat!!! I hear they are more stable than others, you can tube behind them, and I wanted someone to tell me if you can get one of those kits for putting underneath to raise off the sand, when you park it on the beach. I don't know what they are called but hope maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks joanne

I believe they are called Sea Legs and no, they won't work wiht a tri tube boat since they take up almost all the space between the tubes.

Also they are sort of heavy and grab ALOT of water when underway and you need to subtract the weight of the unit from the load capacity of the boat.

Tri toons are better than 2 tube boats because of the extra flotation of the center tube, if this is your first boat it woudl be a good idea to have it checked out by a marina or at least someone you know that knows boats, especially the engine.

What year is this boat?

First question I would have is what kind of power does the toon have hanging off the back. 2 or 3 tubes won't make difference when it comes to tubing if you have a 50hp motor.

2nd, Those legs look like they would create more drag and why would you use them in the sand? seems like they would sink.

The ones I saw had a crossbar on them as I remember and yes they do look like they would catch alot of water, still pretty cool.
