Re: HELP! I need a TOW VEHICLE

I am with the others and would look into all local truck renal company's. U-haul is an option but Penske also rents commercial trucks and is more likely to not restrict towing. Also at risk of jumping on the preachy band wagon I am a commercial truck driver and am familiar with the laws. If you are in fact towing over the weight rating of your vehicle (and I don't know that you are) and you have an accident you could be held criminally liable even if you were completely unresponsible for the accident. I would advise taking your boat to a truck scale and getting an exact weight as you usually tow it and talking to a dealer to get the specific capacity of your truck. Another option is to look into other boaters in your area and see if you can convince one of them to trailer your boat for fuel money and a little bit extra. I wish you luck.

Mikey is right on about the liiability issue. As Groucho Marx said, "You bet your Life".
