HELP!! I think i accidently activated the emergency surge brake

Last time I unhooked the trailer, I forgot to take off the cable that connects to the surge brake piston on the coupler, and started driving away... I think it locked up the brakes, but i dont remember how the little tab on the coupler was facing before. If I did activate that emergency deal, how do I unlock it?

Remove the top cover, pull the spring aside, push top of lever to the rear, re-install spring.
