Help ID This Evinrude

I have tried various routes but to no avail. I have a serial number of my evinrude 20hp motor but cannot seem to find the model number or age of the beast. can anyone please help. Serial no. B1958769 as stamped on the motor.

If graphics are original then a picture will help you get an answer.

That motor was made in Belgium, but that doesn't mean anything because a lot of the smaller Evinrudes were made there for the U.S. market for a few years. But it also could be one that was made for the European market. Too bad the numbers are missing.

Thanks guys. I'm going to make another attempt to get a picture of the motor to post on here later this week. I went to the yard for this purpose on Friday last but after the recent weather the yard was under flood water and the boats were all inaccessable. I'll get back to you.

Call BRP customer service with that number and see if you can get an answer out of them as to the model #.
