Looks like the original McGiver.

lol, no lie, the wife and I are beginning to think it is homemade, the guy I bought it from, bought it from someone else a while ago and has no other information about it.

I would guess its one of the earlier ones made before alum logs became common and good trailers were developed I am guessing 1960 or so. What dose it say on the tittle. That is only the second one I have ever seen with the trailer built into the boat.

Do the wheels flip-up after you get it in the water?

Yes sir, you pull that pin at the top, you can not see it but there is a bar about halfway down, using the handle at the top you pull the whole assembly up until you can put the leaf springs on it.

Thats freaky looking Buff, and I think you should restore it to its former glory. "Mitch, and Hawker" have plenty of cash to help you out. :D

I have a boat so I have no cash. All I have to offer is encouragement.

What a kooky little boat, pretty ingenious how they work the trailer into it though.

I woudl have geussed laot older than 72, aluminum welding was pretty common by then but I suppose someone could have still made them.

I sure am glad we have mastered aluminum welding, I can't imagine building boats out of steel.

"I sure am glad we have mastered aluminum welding, I can't imagine building boats out of steel." Don't say that to loud around the boys that build aircraft carriers.

I can't imagine building aircraft carriers either, it is enough of a challenge to build pontoons, then again they don't build 32 carriers a day.

Not to mention, getting completed aircraft carriers out of Elkhart Indiana could be interesting.:)
