Help identifying this old runabout "kit boat"?

Hey folks,

Hopefully someone can help me identify this old boat. The price was right on this (free), and I just liked the shape of this old boat. The person I got this from had several old papers, titles, etc. From what I've been able to glean from those papers, this boat was built (one copy of a boat registration says it was "built from a kit") in 1961. It has no manufacturers plate or other markings (at least that I have found yet), and has a 1959 West Bend 40HP Golden Shark outboard. The thing that really caught my attention about this boat is that it has no "stringers" under the floor. The floor (disintegrated) sat directly on top of the fiberglass "beams" under the floor. The other thing that is remarkable is that this boat has no drain plug. The "beams" in the floor run the full length and there is no channel or pathway for water to make its way to a central bilge area. Anyone that knows anything about this boat, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks,
LittleDixie

What is the whole boat made out of? Fiberglass?

Sorry - The hull is fiberglass, the front deck, and dashboard area is plywood, and there is wood all around the gunwales.

I have not been able to find any additional identification markings on this boat yet. So far the hull is looking like it is in pretty good shape. Hoping to get into it this weekend with a powerwasher and get some of the remaining grime and loose paint removed.

Have yet to find any pics of something similar (fiberglass hull, wood top).

Anyone with any insight, I would sure appreciate the info!
