Hello board:

Hopefully someone can set me straight on this. I recently purchased a '93 pro v, and would like to install my 24v minnkota on the bow. I have purchased the batteries, and dropped them under the deck,....and now I'm stumped.

I have a total of six 8 ga wires coming into my battery compartment: A long red and a long black which reach the port side battery, A short red and a short black, which reach the starboard battery. The last two wires are both orange, and are coiled up in a roll and taped up. (As though they werent previously used)

I also have four much smaller wires coming into the compartment, (Long red, long black, short red, short black). I believe these are for the battery condition meter. (Battery 1 and battery 2).

I have purchased a "Rig Right" plug containing the internal jumper, and have wired this to my trolling motor using the orange wire, and the black wire.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do next within my battery compartment? Can I just hook my four red/black wires up to each individual battery..along with my condition meter wires, and be good to go? Or do I need to somehow involve the orange wires?

Thanks for any help on this.
