Help - Jon boat ID

Can't identify a Jon style boat I just purchased. E.g. Age, Manufacturer, model name etc.

There's a small riveted plate on the prow about 1" by 2" that has the following info:
12C7-A (several spaces) 01469
440# max people and gear
7.5 max hP
This boat provides flotation

Current registration (wisconsin) shows what I think is generic stuff such as:
Make: APPL
Serial 01469
Year '72 Ft - 12

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Ayuh,... My guess is it's a 1969 tin jonboat...

Welcome to iboats.

I doubt you will ever figure out who made that Jon boat since the market was flooded with them in the 60's and 70's. Many were lightweight aluminum molded hulls that were welded along only a minimum amount of seams.

Sears and Montgomery Wards sold thousands of them and purchased them from many different manufacturer's (who ever was the lucky bidder that year)

Enjoy the boat...... I really do not think the fish in the lake will worry about the brand.

Thaks for the replys. Your right of course, as long as it floats or at least doesn't leak any faster than I can --bail, toss a bait--bail--reel it in--bail and stay afloat it is probably a good boat.
