I've seen gel-pack strips of mylar squares, about 2inces on a side, for use in soft coolers. Those could be easily adapted , along with some neoprene, to make what you need. I'm sure some old wetsuits can be found and sacrificed to the beer gods.

Improvise - Adapt - Overcome!

Of course, you can always park a champagne bucket next to the Barcalounger. . .

Do you refrigerate it before using it?

Is this what you're looking for JB? Got it for free with a case of Coors I got in England of all places. It's too short though, so I don't use it. I prefer the type Pony showed. I'll send you this one if you want it. It indeed goes in the freezer. Made out of that ice pack gel stuff I think.

It looks close, QC.

Does it wrap around or is it cylindrical? The one I had wrapped around, so it fit any diameter bottle of can.

It is cylindrical. I don't like it, but it is the closest thing to what you describe. I think they used some cheap liquid too. It stays liquid like it should, but it doesn't seem to stay cold for very long. I've seen the ones you describe, but can't tell you where . . .

JMW, that's cool. I might get me a couple of them for the boat.
Just freeze them and drop in bottom of cooler and get them out when you get a drink out.

When you get a few more years, you'll realize it's about quality, not quantity. :)

Wife gets mugs at Bed and Bath-expensive $5 , but they after frozen, will put ice chips in your beer.
