To some of the comments -
1) I am not a "Boatman" - whatever that is, and I am not going to be a poser who wants to pretend to be a boatman. I own a boat because I (and wife) enjoy fishing.
2) I have always liked witty names on boats, so I will name mine - with what wife and I find amusing.
3) I want input for what others like - decision is mine and my wife's only - I am looking for what appeals to others from list of what already appeals to me, I am not looking for decision to be made for me. I would like name to appeal to as many as possible, hence the poll.
4) I want to thank those who took the time to reply and advise.
With that clarification, and with that limit of possibilities, my vote is that you must have the one and only vote. Some of your choices imply floundering, confusion and needing repair, so I would have to vote against those because they imply problems. You certainly want to give the impression of being on top of your game and having a good time. I really do like "Nautilust", and I don't see the same negative connotation. To me it means that being on the water is your main aim in life.

??? The answer to your question I answered right in the part of my post you quoted : " I would like name to appeal to as many as possible, hence the poll."
As you can see in my signature, I have almost as many boats as days in the week. They are all named. Most of them are "real" boats, in that we have fun in all of them, and the whole family enjoys them. One of the boats is just for me, and just for fishing. I only use it when the family is engaged elsewhere, and when I'm by myself. I don't consider it a real boat, its just my toy. Its name is "Toiboat". My wife hates the name, and I have never heard a favorable comment re. the name from anybody else for that matter. Doesn't matter to me - its what her name is...

I appreciate that feedback and see your point. Yeah, I don't think Nautilust implies sex any more than Wanderlust does, but a veto is a veto.
I'm leaning toward Shoal Mate, a favorite of the poll and the kids. If I didn't like a name, it hasn't appeared in this thread.

As a teenager with my first boat, my first mistake was to mate my lower unit with a shoal that I should have known was there, but didn't. For that reason, that name could never find it on MY transom.

My first boat that was named was "Ship Happens". The next was "Cheeseheads in Paradise", the current boat is "Rock'n Along" once the boat is repowered and repainted there will be a ritualistic renaming event

I am picturing Sean Connery saying the name - "She's my Shoal Mate".....
