I just replaced the timer base in this engine which i now have spark on all 6 cylinders again. I purchased a brand new CDI timer base and on the timer itself it says the timing needs to be done after installing this part. So what I can gather is as soon as the top carburator starts to move at all as you advanced the throttle your timing should be set to 7 degrees at that point, is this accurate?
If it is the problem that I am having is the center carb that the Cam Roller is on always advanced first by just a little. But the motor revs up a little even with only the center carbs cracked open so by the time i get the top to crack open it reved pretty high to were I set 7degress. Any ideas this is my first time doing this.
