HELP!!Mercury outboard power head swap.

Good morning. well I bought a new model# 813043R97 power ead for my 200 Mercury EFI outboard serial# OT323146. Well the mechanic told me it wont work DOES ANYONE know if this can be done? He said the fuel rails won't line up and really didn' know if it would work and that I needed to ask someone who was experienced in this other than him. who has done this because he has never done that before. well I bought this new old stock deal was a good one for 1500.00. it has become a nightmare. can anyone help me please.

probably that tha "new/old stock one" is for a switch box motor and your "old one" is a cdm motor.. tha new one won't have all bosses for mounting electronics that match your old one... fuel rail has absolutely nothin' ta do with it....
