I have an '89 Force 125 HP outboard motor. I just recently had new plugs and the timing adjusted properly, and today I took it out for a run! The motor started perfectly, but for some reason, at full throttle, I was only able to get about ten MPH out of the boat. After removing the engine hood, I noticed the mechanical mechanism was not in the "full" position on the side of the bottom carbureator. I could manually pull up on the metal rod and get full throttle and speed out of the boat. I noticed the rod that is connected to the magneto was not going to its fullest extension. I adjusted the magneto screw and was able to get the rod to go to its full extension. At this time, I had about 80% full throttle. I need step-by-step directions on how to adjust all of these mechanisms, including throttle cables. As I said, at start-up, the engine runs fine. Thank you! Tim Myers
